Drainage District Management

There are just over 100 Drainage Districts within Cerro Gordo County.  The Board of Supervisors serve as Trustees for the majority of these districts. Twenty of the districts are managed by landowners or the city within which they lie.  Landowner Trustees and their contact information can be found in the link below.

Drainage Work Order

If you need to report a drainage problem, call the Auditor’s Office and with your help we will identify the district the property lies in; document the problem; and present it to the Board of Supervisors who serve as Trustees of the district.  Or, you may print and complete the Drainage Work Order and email or mail it to the County Auditor's office.  Be sure to provide us with a phone number to reach you if we have questions.

Drainage Assessment Waiver  Order to Assess

If your property has been assessed and you wish to pay the assessment in installments, please contact the Auditor’s Office.  Or, you may print and complete the Damage Assessment Waiver and email or mail it to the County Treasurer's office. Be sure to provide us with a phone number to reach you if we have questions.

Call Hannah Jones in the Auditor’s Office at 641-421-3028 if you have questions.
