The Board of Supervisors will be considering a number of appointments to county board and commissions at their organizational meeting on January 4, 2016. The Supervisors will make appointments to the following boards and commissions during that meeting:

The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors is seeking an interested individual to serve out an unexpired term on the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation (NICEDC) Board of Directors. The term runs through June 30, 2018.
The NICEDC is the premier joint economic development organization in North Iowa, serving the cities of Mason City and Clear Lake as well as Cerro Gordo County. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Applications for this appointment will be accepted in the Board of Supervisors office until 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015.
Deer and Fall turkey licenses will go on sale Saturday August 15, 2015. You can purchase your license at the Recorders Office in the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. See license costs below.

Deer will be $28.50 for general licenses, $28.50 for antlerless-only 1st license, $13.00 for antlerless-only 2nd license and all others.
Fall turkey tags will be $24.50 each.
County Auditor Ken Kline was awarded the Public Employee Service Above Self Award today by the Mason City Noon Rotary Club. In a surprise ceremony after Brent Trout said few words Ken received the award. Ken thought he was there to do a presentation and was very surprised but pleased receiving the award.
Patricia Wright, Cerro Gordo County Treasurer is pleased to announce that her office is now accepting passport applications on behalf of the U. S. Department of State. U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for their passports Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Treasurer’s Office, 220 N Washington, Mason City, Iowa. (more…)
