MASON CITY - A Cherokee company was awarded the contract to install fiber optics cable which will connect the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse with the new Law Enforcement Center east of Mason City.
Schoon Construction Inc. submitted the low bid of $124,832, approved by the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
River City Communications and Stephens Communications, both of Mason City, came in with higher bids, according to Brian Gibson of StrataVision Consulting Group Inc., the Des Moines-based firm coordinating design and construction.
