Cerro Gordo to hold fur harvest lottery

MASON CITY - The Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board will hold a lottery to allow two fur harvesters an opportunity to trap the portion of the Lime Creek Conservation Area that is closed to firearms.

 

Trappers should submit one index card listing their name, address, phone number and the number of traps they intend to set.

 

Cards must be received by 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 25. They can be delivered or sent to the Lime Creek Nature Center, 3501 Lime Creek Road, Mason City, IA 50401.

 

A drawing will be held at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. For more information, call (641)423-5309.
